Hi guys,

This little knife finished on eBay recently, I was outbid. Did anyone here win it? I am curious to know if anyone has seen anything like it. It was listed as Indian.

Cheers - Russel

They usually have ivory hilts, there a long thread on here somewhere about them....

They could be Assam, Burma {Which I always favoured.} or North African.

The scabbard with yours looks more Algerian or some such to my eye.

Blade looks reshaped perhaps to fit that scabbard?

Thanks Spiral, and sorry for the delay in responding.

I can certainly see the similarities in bolster design and tang arrangement. The blade shape and truncated point seem to indicate a simple utility knife.

Thanks again,
Russel
