Looks like a polearm (Chinese or in a Chinese-influenced style) turned into a sword.

I'm indonesian native and edged weapons lover
never seen such blade here ... it looked like an oversized parang to me
but I may be wrong

perhaps some kind of modification from chinese blade done by chinese descendants during their diaspora ?

It has features that look almost reminiscent of the Malabar Moplah Ayda Katti.
Especially around the base of the blade.
