I found out what I have!
I just wanted to stop by here and say thank you to everyone who tried to help me identify the weapon I own.
Back in May or June of 2004, I received a lot of help from members about an old pike that I purchased from John Eisenhower when he lived in my area. Since that time, I took the pike to the curator at Valley Forge Park, and he identified it as a pike but had no further information. Recently, I contacted a woman at the Eisenhower National Historic Site, and sent the pictures of the pike to her to forward to the curator. Today, I received a response from her telling me that the weapon is a John Brown Pike. I only found two references to it on google, but needless to say, I'm thrilled to own an acutal piece of history! Now, I would like to learn it's value. Would any members here know how much it's worth? Thanks for any response! Regards, Karen |
I'm sorry Karen , it's against forum policy to give appraisals as to a piece's value .

Yikes! My bad, Rick.
So sorry if I violated any rules. Again, I just want to say a big "Thank you" to those who helped me get on the right path to finding out what this weapon is. Take care, Karen |
Of course, after I respond, I thought of another question.
Where could I go then to find out it's value? I live in PA, outside Philadelphia. Thanks! Take care, Karen |
