This was recently on E Bay, didn't sell and I'm Planing on keeping it for now. Patterns on this blade are very elusive and a photographer I'm not.

At times, I'm sure there's a ladder pattern of sorts, or an attempt at a rose like pattern. Dr. Figiel, mentions on pgs70-73 of ON DAMASCUS STEEL, that sometimes these patterns occur naturally and not mechanically.

Have, I just lost it, or what? My feelings are it is an old blade that fell on hard times and now dresses casually. Your opinions please.
