Unfortunately I can't help you with the translation. But I would like to encourage you to post pictures showing the entire sword. This is much appreciated by the whole forum and is generally considered a rule when requesting a translation. :)

The sword looks beautiful even from just the detail images you posted.

All the best,

Iain

Hi TKV,

Looks like a date of 1279 which I make 1862.
Can't help with the rest sorry.

Looks nice :-) it says "saheb Abbas sannah 1279" which means : Owner Abbas year 1279 (hijri)

Thank you very much! Seems Abbas had a good taste in swords.

Very nice shashka, the handle and the scabard have some really nice workmanship. As far as the writings, the date is 1276 , right now is 1432, which comes to 156 lunar years, which is 150 solar years which put the age of this at 1861. The writing reads عباس میر (Abbas Mir) and right under عباس (Abbas) it reads صاحب (Saaheb), as said before, meaning owner Abbaa Mir.
