Syrian Dagger for Arabic translation please!

Heres a Syrian dagger I picked up a few weeks back, I think its the Magadali Shams type, interestingly {for me anyway!} it is made from an old file blade.
I know the script on these has often degenerated so far to be unreadable, but a fellow forimite has suggested that the script on this might be translatable? Any & all help & comments/information welcomed. Spiral |

I may confirm you about the origin of your dagger, it's a "Majdal Shams' Druze jambiya" your fellow's suggestion, it's too much optimistic ... :p I've 2, and never been able to get a translation, even if my wife is completly fluent in Arabic (mother tongue) may be Druze language wrote with Arabic alphabet, it's a suggestion I'm sorry for you  any way your "Majdal or Magdali Shams" is very nice, congratulations à + Dom |

Thank You for trying & your comments Dom!

		Sorry Jonathan,
It's still much les 'debased' than the script oftem is. Don't give up hope! Look at mine, barely more than a series of squiggles: |

Cheers Gene, Perhaps oneday we will find some who speaks Druze if were lucky!

Thank you so much! That particular mystery solved! Interesting its such a classic Islamic statement. Can I ask which side of the blade says what? Thanks Again, Spiral |

The first close up picture, in the same side after Zulfeqar, it say more but I could only make ... "this sword" ... sorry could not be of more help, my Arabic is limited at best.
