Looks like a piece from the 1960s-70s hilt is cow or buffalo horn.

Scabbard shape I understand is known as BAKILI and probably the whole comes from Najran/Tiaz area of Yemen. This style is the one most seen in modern day pics.
The holes in the hilt would have held silver?? nails.
I agree with Lew re the age but that STILL makes it around 50 years old.

I agree with Lew and Stu. This is a type that is worn by Yemeni's and can be seen in random video's sometimes.
