Today had arrived my last adquisition, seems Filipino, but I´m not sure.
The new adquisition is this little dagger, with wood hadle. Best regards carlos |
Carlos -
I guess it could be Filipino, but the work looks more European to me. Nice looking knives where ever it is from. Rich |
I guess what throws me is that hilt looks more like a post WWII leg or bed finial. Brass ferrule looks new also. Cross guard - silver?
Still could be PI though. If it really is, could be Ilokano. |

Hello Migueldiaz, A very nice looking dagger you have there. Could you show a picture of the end of the hilt and is the wood of the hilt painted or stained?

Of course!! |
Hm, isnt Dagger no.11 a flyssa dagger? it seems to even have the kabyle decoration aswell.
|
#11 to me looks like some North African hybrid of a flyssa and a Nimcha, or something similar. The specific hilt is familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
