Well due to a variety of circumstances I am again letting go of some swords. Much as it pains me I知 pruning my collection back to the bare core, so my loss is your gain!

As usual these have appeared on my website, so I値l link there for more pictures and detailed descriptions.

To make things easy I知 numbering the swords so you can tell me which one/s you are interested in.

Shipping is roughly 15-20 euros in Europe and N. America depending on the sword and weight. I charge what it costs me.

I am pricing very reasonably, but all realistic offers considered. Afraid I知 not looking for trades at the moment.

You can reach me at iain.norman@gmail.com or by PM here on the forums.

Takouba Offer 1.
http://takouba.org/takouba03/

An interesting hammer finished blade with iron pommel. I think this has quite good age to it and is certainly unique, I致e never seen another quite like it. I知 asking 160 Euros.

Takouba Offer 2.

This one is hard for me to let go, nice sword. The southern style takoubas come on the market less frequently than others. This one is a decent example with an interesting leather covered pommel, not a common feature. I壇 like to get 175 Euros for this one.

Takouba Offer 3.

A big solid example with very nice brass handle and pommel. Big blade with good flex. Very sturdy sword with a lot of presence. I知 asking 170 Euros.

Takouba Offer 4.
http://takouba.org/crv-takouba03/

An interesting and rare solid cast hilt with extremely thick blade. Curved takouba are pretty uncommon and this is an even more unusual form than the curved examples found among the Fulani and Tuareg. Asking 160 Euros.

Another drop for the Holidays some free European shipping on the one sword! Come on folks treat yourself and give it a good home. :D

Takouba offer 3 now asking 155 Euros and I will include free European shipping

Iain 17th January 2011 01:00 PM

Just a little bump for these in case anyone has a New Year's need for a takouba. :D

Both sword 1 and 3 are still available. Reasonable offers will be considered. :)

Iain 21st January 2011 02:08 PM

Well I still need to sell these, so a little price drop for the weekend. :-)

Takouba 1 - now asking 120 Euros
Takouba 2 - now asking 130 Euros

As before shipping is going to be roughly 15-20 Euros worldwide, per sword. Of course if someone wants both, one box is going to save some money for you on shipping!

Reasonable offers always considered.
