AFRICAN SPEAR .. HELP WITH ID PLEASE

Here is a nice big bladed spear which has been on my wall for years ... I have never tracked down its origins though .. any suggestions would be welcome. The big difference between this and all my others is the 'beaver tail' heel piece.
Total length 6'5'' . Spearhead inc socket 20'' . Max width of blade 3.5'' . Smooth hardwood shaft , altogether high quality.

Sudanese for sure. The shape of that butt piece is sometimes described as useful for digging tent pole holes. Not sure how much truth is in that, but you will see the same form in Tuareg and Fulani spears.

The broad leaf shaped head is typical of the type of spears encountered among Madhist forces.

Sorry I keep replying to all your topics, but I'm working from home today and your posts are far more interesting that what I should be doing!
