Hello.
I picked up this woven split rattan hat/helmet today at a local antique show, and can't figure out where it is from. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Joe

Thank you Willem,
Thank you for the link. My original thought was Philippines, but by the time I had left the flea market I had been told by different people that it was Thai, Japanese, Burmese, and one told me Himalayan.

Thanks again,
Joe

It's a Salakot, I think ;-)

Yes a salakot from the Philippines. It is in great condition and I'll bet that the pieces are silver on top.

Thank you to everyone for the help on this hat. It will have a place of prominence in my collection of hats from the Philippines.

Best regards,
Joe
