Nias keris thread?

He, what happened whit the nias keris thread?

Si euli, where are you ?!?

Yes, I was looking for it too. where is it ?

I can imagine that eventually it turned out to be misplaced on the warung kopi. But it showed some interesting pictures of the rare si euli daggers from Nias. And some interesting info was added by Arjan.
On top of that I was hoping for Michael to add some pictures of his collection.

Can it be put back on the etno forum and disclosed ?

Hi Guys..
Initially I wanted to discuss about it in the Keris Warung Kopi with the keris guys, since it was about a form which was called a 'keris'. A a while, it got closed. I've pm the mod who closed it but no reply. So I pm another mod to remove it. Yes, it does contain useful info. I'll reproduce it here.. ;)

Nias Keris (?)

With reference from Ensiklopedi Keris, pg 78 (which was said to be taken from Den Indonesiske Kris -et symbolladet vaben), the picture showed a short dagger (sheathed), from Nias, Sumatra. The fitting does look a little keris-like.

[Image removed] see link to initial thread below.. :D

Thanks Rick, save me the trouble to reproduce. :D

Sorry for not responding. When you asked for the thread to be closed i actually forwarded your request to Rick to put him in the loop and see what he thought He took care of your request so i didn't see a need to get back to you. I agree that the move seems the best solution. :)

No worries, David. Thanks for telling. :)
Perhaps, this thread can close now.. as it is redundant. Since the old thread had been moved.. ;)
