How does a Keris differ from a Kris?

Beyond length of course, how are they different?

Just to be clear, there has been a general tendency to make a distinction between Indonesian/Malay keris and it's larger Moro cousin which many here refer to as a kris, but i think you will find a great many people who call the Indonesian form kris and there are also those who would spell the Moro form keris. So i just think it's a good idea for us to remember that using these specific spellings for these distinctions is not universal in the the collector world.

I naively thought that keris is the correct Malay/ Indonesian word while kris is just the translation or spelling in English and other languages (in France we call it kriss or criss).
