African Sword, (Tuareg??), for Sale

An old sword for sale. Not sure from what region it comes from, but definitely Africa. There are marks on the blade As the photos show, part of the pommel is broken. Handguard and pommel has some movement. Blade is tight to the hilt. Blade is in good condition. I think the hilt material is horn, with a pommel butt plate of copper. Scabbard is leather.
Sword length 33-1/4", blade length 28-1/8", width of blade closest to the handguard 2-1/2", handguard width 3-1/2". Price $200.00 plus shipping. USA buyers only. Will not ship to Europe due to previous problems. email with questions and additional photo requests. mandawe@hotmail.com |
