what do you think of this shamshir
alas it is in bad state.
i think it's a wootz blade of 31.5 inch
the only mark is a "I"

the form of the tang is not of typical Arab and more of European style. The blade does show some pattern, and it looks acid-etch to me, I do not think it is wootz, but not certain without seeing more. Interesting to see some pattern on the tang as well. The cast hilt is probably an Arab tribal or bazaar production. sorry cannot be more specific. hard to tell without seeing.
