Odd Moroccan Dagger

This knife just ended on Ebay. I bid on it but was out bid at the very end. I'm still curious about it though. I've never seen a knife like it before. Does anyone recognize it? Thanks. Here's the link.

I've seen a few similar examples; I think the origin was mentioned in a thread here .

Hi JS,
I used to have one of these in my collection. These daggers are not particularly well made. The blades tend to have thin spines, are tempered, often they do not have a sharp edge but are extremely 'pointed'. The hilts are 'slabs' of horn and bone which are quite thin. They do not seem to be a 'purposeful' weapon and are probably more for 'dress'. IMHO the dagger was overpriced and probably younger than you thought.

Kind Regards David
