PBS -"The Airmen and the Headhunters"

I'm watching this on TV right now...thought some others might find this program interesting

"In 1944, as war raged across the globe, an incredible drama unfolded in the remote jungles of Borneo. A U.S. bomber was hit by Japanese anti-aircraft fire, and as the plane went down, the surviving crew ejected and parachuted into the wilderness. Pursued by Japanese soldiers, they were taken in and protected by members of the Dayak tribe—the so-called “wild men of Borneo,”

I like it!

I also noticed a scene where it showed a young man practice cutting, he only cut from the upper right down to the lower left :D And having been browsing the EAA forums long enough, I think I know why :) - thanks.

Hi Arjan,

Thank you very much!
I just watched the whole movie intense and with deeply respect, but I have one little question:
What where those papoeas from New Guinea doing in Borneo?

Regards,
Maurice

Just finished watching this and it was quite interesting. Could make a very good historical drama don't you think?
