Wake-up, a little riddle...
What is this ? Luc |
AH YES THE ROYAL RUG BEATER. :D
THE BLADE SHAPE REMINDS ME OF SOME TIKAR SWORDS I HAVE SEEN BUT THE EXTENDED GRIP IS VERY DIFFERENT MORE LIKE THAT ON A POTO SWORD. THE EXAGERATED BACK SPIKES ON THE BLADE ARE INTERESTING AND ONE APPEARS TO BE WRAPPED WITH WIRE OR SOMETHING. WHATEVER IT IS IT IS WAY COOL AND I LIKE IT. :) I WOULD GUESS CEREMONIAL USE BUT AS YOU HAVE THREE EXAMPLES NOT A ONE OF A KIND ITEM AS I FIRST SUSPECTED. |
Hi Luc
Unusual pieces, I can't place them. The metal strip wrapping to the handle indicates Congo, maybe Yakoma - some sort of cult/society object... The copper binding to the blade projections I have seen before on Fang knives. Regards |
I wonder if it might be related to the so called anchor currency blades?
