I too have been in a purple patch with the arrival of this lovely new friend this morning. The smaller one in the picture, still 1.23m It may not be as old as the other one but I strongly suspect somebody has cleaned it with enthusiasm as there are signs of some age. If so at least they did it well. Nice tactile weapon.

"Purple patch" = Is this British slang like our USA "on a roll", "walking in tall cotton", "on a lucky streak"? Can you point out some Threads that explain what these "clubs" are? Thanks, Newbie Billy |
A purple patch is a spot of good fortune. My good fortune was to recieve what is known as a Solomon Island paddle club. These are heavy clubs, mine are 1.231kg and 1.165kg They have a paddle like edge so to concentrate the power of the blow. Easily breaking limbs and so on.
