Indian(?) knife ID
2 Attachment(s)
I've seen some Indian daggers that looks similar but those were all more exaggerated in their shape (a more down turned end on the handle, a more up curved blade etc.) So I am not sure what kind of knife this is.

I would say that this knife is definitely from India and most likely was originally part of a set consisting of a knife and fork. The blade on yours looks to be worn down (most likely from repeated sharpening) so far that it has actually changed the blades profile. While yours is one of the more decorative ones that I have seen so far (with most others being rather plain in appearance) as I know these were meant for sale to those who travel.

Usually, they have scabbards open on both ends: one for the knife, another for the fork.

Ah okay, thanks for the info...I'd like to see one of these peacock scabbards...I guess even with utensils, the Indians can't help but to go a little over the top with design sometimes.
