maldives swords?

i can find no images of maldives swords.. but one fo the stamps from the maldives showed a man with a sheild and sword however the small drawing dosnt give any impression as to who the sword looks.
does any oen have any informaiton on the swords of those islands.
the knvies are very distinct. so i woudl imagine the swords would follow a distinct style too.
