Self explanatory why people refer to "Stone" or "The Stone".

Rather than to : A glossary.... etc. etc. etc. etc. :D

A bit like : Traditional weapons of th.... uhhh, "Zonneveld".

If you can find it, buy the first edition, all editions after this had increasingly lousy illustrations.

The last decent edition was 1961.

The more recent editions are not worth the paper they are printed on.

Worth having, a basic tool; mistakes notwithstanding . ;)

Thanks for the info re: 1961 edition. I was planning on picking up a copy from Amazon, but am now going to make sure it's a 1961 or before edition. Much appreciated!

I've got a first edition and two 1961 editions.

About 20 years ago my first 1961 edition was beginning to fall apart. This was long before Amazon and Bookfinder.

I searched for a bought a second 1961 edition.

It cost me $250.
