Another February Calendar - For the Dha Crowd

Inspired by John's efforts and posted with his approval. I'm really more of a web design than graphic design guy, but I had fun doing this one.

By the way

Oh, and yes, that is a tiger's canine in the grip.

Oh, that is sweet, Derek. Thanks. By the way, this guy will be in the next update of the DRI, hopefully roling out this week-end.

Derek knows this, but others might be interested in the tiger canine story. The tiger is a feared, yet revered animal in Burma. The mythical progenetor of the Burmese people is a white tiger, and the Kachin at least appeal to the spirit of the white tiger of the jungle for assistance in particularly imporant matters or dire situations. In Thailand (and probably elsewhere), a tiger's fang has a talismanic, protective power. So its use as a handle will protect the wearer from harm.

Thanks, Derek!

To add to what Mark has posted about the tiger teeth, many Kachin (Jinghpaw) tribesmen will decorate their "hunting" swords, scabbards and baldric suspension with tiger teeth and even sections of jaw as evidence of their fierceness and hunting prowess.

No approval needed and I enjoy seeing other work especially something as well done as this while the images displayed generate great information from all the experts here.
