Silver/Copper/Rattan fighting Dha-lwe for sale.

Dha-lwe. Myanmar (Burma). Late 19th Century.
Silver, copper and braided rattan fittings.

Solid, genuine fighting example. Likely used by warrior of some renown or a mid-level officer based on copper and silver fittings.

Overall length: 89.5 cm
Blade length: 63 cm
Handle length: 26.5 cm
Scabbard length: 66 cm

This particular sword was loaned to the Macao Museum of Art for the "History of Steel in East Asia" exhibit, and is featured in the catalogue from that exhibit via the following photo:
