This is my new keris project still in making and since this group is getting quiet nowadays, I thought to share with you especially on the painting beauty.

Stunning pamor! :)
It is your second with this type of pamor, right?! First one was Javanese style and this seems to be Balinese style... I guess... I also love the scabbard and especially the silver work! Thank you for sharing it with us! :) |
Love that pattern welding!

Beautiful and hard to forge, I was told. :D No one has any views on the painting and silver pendok? |
Beautiful stuff. Was this made by Pak Misyanto by any chance?

Lovely work. The painting looks very nice indeed but it is hard to see the background detailing in your photos, any chance of some better shots please
cheers DrD |
This is extraordinary modern craftsmanship. Beautiful! Congratulations on acquiring this keris.

Seems to be begging for kinatah. Do you have any plans for adding that on the gonjo?
|
I am also very impressed by the high quality of this kris, especially the blade and the silver sampleng (pendok). And I agree with David that the blade would deserve a finely made kinatah.
However I feel that the cekah redut hilt (originally worn by soldiers) is too stiff and dull for this highly decorative piece, I whould rather select an ivory or silver togogan hilt... Regards |
