Fantastic shots Michael! Thanks for posting. The (what looks like) Italian (Venetian?) storta on the far left of the last few pics looks awesome. Definitely one of my favourite blade shapes. Here's another for comparison.
I won't bother commenting on the armour too much  it's mind blowing. The amount of work poured into these gothic and maximilan suits is incredible. I especially enjoy the lifelike face plates. The extensive decorative treatment makes me wonder amout modern weapons. How many soldiers or indeed armies bother decorating and personalizing their equipment. The closest thing I can think of is this shark face on an A-10 warthog...different times  Many thanks for sharing! Emanuel |
Hi Michael,
And yet another magnificent post that made for wonderful viewing! Thank you for sharing. Cheers Chris |
Hi Emanuel,
You're right: different times but the same zoomorphic style employed for arising both awe and fencing off at the same time.:) Best, Michael |
Hi Chris,
We should not forget that the biggest part of the work was done by someone on the Russian forum. I just picked them up and reoworked on some for better quality. That is, I think, the real blessing of the internet: communites who share internationally. :) Cheers, Michael |

Michael,
We are not worthy, we are not worthy, we are not worthy... ( 2b repeated umpteenth times). A million thanks. BTW: Any pictures of Napoleonic Swords? M "The Other" Manolo |
Sorry, Manolo,
But - no: I posted anything I could find. Btw, Napoleonic items are regrettably not covered by my range of either expertise or archives. :) m |
Never mind, it would only have been frosting for the cake...
Keep up the great work! Warmest regards M Quote:
