Prussian Baroque Small-Sword

I am new here but I thought I would share some of my my collection for your enjoyment - This is a Rococo or Baroque style small-sword manufactured between 1700-1740. The quality of the decorative work is quite good, featuring classical figures, hunting motifs and florals. Every aspect of the hilt is decorated. An unusual and rare feature is the small eagle head finial on the pommel. The blade is rapier-like, stiff, rhomboid in cross-section, with a deep central fuller on either side. This is one of my favorite pieces that I believe to have Prussian origins based on the motif and style. Pretty cool sword...

Welcome to the forum, JBarnett :) .
Magnificent example indeed.
I am told that antique swords don't feel well with the Alaska climate  .
If this baby starts complaining, i can give you my address ... surely a warmer spot ;) :D

The blade ...
Is it still covered with some finishing.
No marks or inscriptions ?

The only marks are some small worn markings on the guard edge and a couple of faint spots on the blade that may have once been a light stamping but none of them are identifieable as a positive makers mark. However there is a suspect area of the pommel that may have been a script signature of sorts - it's fairly worn now though.
