Hola guys,

Could somebody please assist in translating the signature on this kilij?
Thick tback blade. All steel hilt. Scabbard leather restored by a leather craftsman.

apparently, it's not Arabic language :shrug:
may be Turkish or Farsi ?? :confused:

Although the blade is of kilij form, note that it is in one of those Qajar-style all iron hilts and it may well be that the blade is of Persian rather than Ottoman origin. The inscription certainly bears this out, it reads " 'Abbas bandeh Shah-i-velayat ", ( 'Abbas, servant of the Ruler of the universe )
