Gold inscription. Real or fake?
6 Attachment(s)
An old man has this sword, supposely it was taken in battle from an ancestor of his. He asked a friend of mine about translation of the inscrptions. However, it feels to me that something is strange on these inscriptions... Could these be newly made fake inscriptions?

Eftihis, can you please post a picture of the entire sword.

I don't think so. Surprisingly you can have some rusted swords with good goftgari inscriptions because gold cannot be corroded and silver just tarnish... so for me it's all good, you can buy it! :) |
I don't think they are newly made fake inscriptions. However, I do think they are old fake inscriptions, or at least inscriptions made by someone who may not have known basic Arabic. So they might have had an original inscription they copied but failed miserably.
