RIP Dominique

Dear All,

It's with a great sadness that I have to announce that Dominique, Dom, passed away the 7th of July. I'm absolutely devastated.

Dom was a great and simple guy. He spent most of his life in the Middle east.
His Egyptian wife did a lot of translation for many forum members here.
Dom and I shared the same passions, the desert and Islamic arms.

My condolences to his wife, family and friends .

I bow in his absence and give my condolences to his family. He has been sorely missed here.

Rick 1st August 2017 03:35 AM

I was worried about Dom when he disappeared from the forums.
That was around the time of the unrest in Egypt, and if I recall correctly, he returned there at that time.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing and I have missed his participation here since he dropped off our radar in March 2013.

I wish safe travels and blessings for his spirit.

My deepest condolences to Taghrid/Titi and all friends of Dom!

Unfortunately, I never made it to Cairo or Paris at the right time - at least we'll treasure the contributions you both made to the forum! RIP Dom!

My deepest and most sincere condolences to Dom's family and friends. He was in my opinion one of the nicest individuals to grace the pages of this forum, intelligent, courteous, and always there to lend a helping hand be it with information or translations. He will truly be missed. RIP

He will truly be missed :(, I was fortunate enough to correspond with him on both these forums and more French specific venues, he was a man with a true passion for arms and armour and always willing to help fellow collectors.

R.I.P Dom.
Condolences to his family. He will be sadly missed and I will remember his and his good wife's unselfish assistance to me with translations, and helpful answers to my questions over the years.

My condolences to Dom's family. This is very bad news for the forum.
My thoughts especially goes to his wife, whom I have never met, but who has done a lot of translation for me and for many others.

I join everyone else here in this very sad news, and it is a great loss to our forum to no longer have this voice of knowledge, kindness and ever willingness to help us with so many questions. Through him and his wife the important and often formidable translation issues became resolved, and he was always there to set the course straight.

Dom, rest in peace, you are remembered always here, and deeply missed.

With deepest condolences to his wife, family, and friends.

Vaya con Dios.
