Khukuri etched pattern

I recently picked this nice villager up. Has anyone seen a similar etched pattern on a khukuri? It is quite distinctive.

Nice Kukri! Love to see the scabbard. I think the pattern might be a repeated "eye".

Here you go Scabbard is not original to khukuri, but it is a better fit than the one that did come with it. Seems like a good match stylistically.

This is one of the longer Kukris I've held.
I think yours has the same etch. Same big ring on the hilt too.

Cool. They definitely seem related, the overall blade profile (outside of length) and fuller style are similar as well. Is the tang on your example peened?

Not peened. And I just noticed that yours has a butt cap? I'll take a look to see if mine ever did. But I don't think so.
