A few years later, I am now the new owner of Asomotif's rencong.
I was wondering if this rencong comes from Gayo. It is huge - about 17 inches long altogether. Also I remember earlier on in this discussion years ago that in Gayo the big ones were a symbol of high status. I had to take some rust off the blade and re-etch it. |
