lolz, Life begins at forty, at least for me the saying held true, what's to expect in the 50s, 60s, 70s...as far as collecting arms and armor, I've significantly downsized

... and for all of you that can remember going to Disneyland, that far back in time...

...it requires an "E Coupon" to be on this ride. :D :D

I was sitting with two colleagues the other day.
One asked how long I've been teaching.
Before I could answer, the other replied,

Since the Franco-Prussian War.

After some reflection I have decided to spare you all the Titus Pullo-style
self portraiture.

We had some surprises lately, finding out that some of the members are quite young but mature in mind (hope this is how we can call it in English, I hope no-one will feel offended ), so I'm courius HOW OLD THIS BOARD IS
I hope I'm able to surprise you all!

Hope everyone has a good night, cheers!

Really? I would have guessed mid-thirties, Charles. You're remarkably well preserved. :D

Robert 27th October 2006 02:11 PM

54 going on 18 :D

joshualayne 27th October 2006 02:32 PM

1/3rd of a century on March 26th.

33 in November.

My work desk ages me more than my years...

I am amazed by the collectors younger than myself, as when I was that age I collected bad reproductions from Ren-faires and such. You all have much better taste than I did.

roanoa 27th October 2006 03:22 PM

I am still a teen-ager, but everyone tells me I am really 61....

RhysMichael 30th October 2006 02:12 AM

HUSAR 30th October 2006 09:50 AM

Funny Lew! :D
I saw Bram Stoker's Dracula starring Gary Oldman and Keanu (dude!) Reeves a few days ago and damned if I didn't find myself thinking of you Radu . ;) :D

Fortunately my Wife has just planted a large bed of Garlic ... :D

FourBlades 4th November 2006 05:14 AM

I am 43.

I made a dozen swords from scrap metal around age 12.

I bought my first antique sword at age 30.

I bought my second at age 35.

I bought 20 more in the last 12 months...so I guess I am really hooked now.

Finding this forum really opened my eyes to how interesting ethnographic arms are, which in turn has gotten me really interested in understanding the culture and history of many parts of the world I knew very little about.

ELISABETAAAAAA!!!! (shouted him dementially to the moon while pushing his three brides away, unveiling large canines behind his grotesque grin, more like white prongs ready to pierce the round, glowing moon...)
