You'll always see the restored parts.... and it is not restoring but replacing.

A good point John. I am working on the scabbard now, but for the crowns, we'll see. I will certainly let the rest go and go no further.

Well just took the piece to a jeweler friend of mine and he too is of the opinion that it would be best to leave it alone.

I will leave it alone and just work on making a scabbard for it.

Well here is it: the scabbard. May one day when gold has dropped and I have the money (:rolleyes:) I may get the rest of the gold work on the tip done.
